SUPPORTING GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL
Sir Billy Butlin was among those who donated funds to purchase the UK’s first paediatric CT scanner at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) back in 1977. This was the beginning of our relationship with GOSH, which formally became our charity partner in January 2015.
Since then, our efforts to help this remarkable institution have gone from strength to strength. In 2022, thanks to the hard work of our team and guests, we reached an incredible £1 million fundraising milestone for GOSH Charity. The next year, we committed to becoming a Founder Partner for the Children’s Cancer Centre, pledging to raise another £1 million for GOSH Charity over the course of the next five years.
Other ways we support the GOSH Charity include:
- Booking donations – GOSH Charity receives online, in-person and telephone donations at the point of booking
- Butlin’s Book donations – GOSH Charity receives £5 + VAT of the sale price of each Butlin’s book sold
- Carrier bags – For every 10p carrier bag sold during the term, Butlin’s will make a donation of all proceeds after costs + VAT to GOSH Charity
- GOSH Charity receives £2 + VAT of the sale price of each ‘Binkie bear’ sold on our resorts
- Team Fundraising including on resort team events, participation in challenge events e.g. Three Peaks and regular bake sales and quiz nights
- Volunteer support at GOSH Charity Events
- Entertainment support at GOSH Charity owned events e.g. Race For The Kids
