Jon Hendry Pickup is the Chief Executive Officer of Butlin’s. Jon is an experienced business executive who has held many senior roles in the leisure and hospitality sectors in the UK.

As CEO, Jon is spearheading a five-year growth strategy which was launched in 2023 and aimed at transforming the guest proposition and maintaining Butlin's as the Home of Entertainment. Integral to this five-year plan is a £150 million capital investment across all three resorts to upgrade the experience for all guests.

Jon joined Butlin’s as Managing Director in July 2018 and has been its CEO since October 2022. Jon loves many aspects of working at Butlin’s, but going to work every day by the beach with people enjoying a holiday is his favourite.

Prior to Butlin’s, he was CEO of Prezzo from 2016 to 2018. Before this, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Travelodge Hotels Limited and an Operations Director at Tesco PLC.

Since April 2024, Jon has served as an advisory board member for Pennies, a digital microdonation charity.

Jon is a graduate of the University of York and he holds an MBA from Warwick University.
