GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL CHILDREN'S CHARITY

Our official charity partner

We are proud that Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) has been Butlin’s official charity partner since 2015 and to date, we have raised over £1,000,000. We are continuing to encourage our guests and team to raise funds as we try to help bring hope to Great Ormond Street Hospital’s young patients and their families.

ABOUT GOSH CHILDREN'S CHARITY

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, 619 patients from across the UK arrive at the hospital. Every day, doctors battle the most complex illnesses. Every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. And every day is a chance to make a difference.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance for life. Today, fundraising supports world-leading research, helps build new, state-of-the-art facilities and offers families key support services.

OUR PARTNERSHIP HISTORY

Our relationship with GOSH started many years ago: back in 1938 Butlin’s day visitors were charged a shilling to come onto the resort, with all that money going to the hospital.

TODAY...

Since launching our partnership with GOSH Charity in 2015 we have funded vital pieces of equipment, facilities, such as a bedroom in our parent accommodation, and services, like the amazing play team, at the hospital all helping to improve the lives of the young patients, their families as well as staff.

Our fabulous total has been reached thanks to our team member taking on challenges, like climbing Snowdon or running marathons as well as hosting quizzes and raffles. Guests have made a huge contribution by making donations when they book their breaks, picking up special merchandise on resorts and making donations. Look out for ways you can support our partnership and get involved when you are on resort!

We have also been able to bring some of the Butlin’s magic to the hospital by providing entertainment, Redcoats, the Skyline Gang and a magician for the summer party held at the hospital for patients.
