- FULL CIRCLE JOURNEY FORMS THE EMOTIONAL FINALE OF DIVERSITY’S EXCLUSIVE SUMMER SHOW
Hemel Hempstead, 3 August 2026 – Butlin's, the Home of Entertainment, is celebrating a remarkable full circle story in Diversity’s new show, created exclusively for family breaks this summer.
Back in 2014, seven-year-old Ben Winchcombe attended a Diversity dance class during his holiday at Butlin’s Bognor Regis. The class inspired Ben’s passion for dance, and twelve years later his journey has gone full circle and forms the emotional finale of the show.
Performing alongside Ashley Banjo and the Diversity dancers he once looked up to, Ben forms part of the exclusive headline shows this summer. Time Capsule is a new production exclusive to Butlin’s and is inspired by moments from music, film, technology and fashion. The live show combines dance, storytelling and audience interaction through Diversity’s incredible choreography.
Ashley introduces the final routine by telling the audience about a seven-year-old who attended a Diversity class while on a Butlin’s holiday. Childhood photographs then appear on screen, charting Ben’s progress, before he is revealed on stage to perform alongside the group.
Ashley Banjo, MBE, said: “To see Ben go from a seven-year-old taking part in one of our dance classes to standing beside us as a full member of Diversity is incredibly special.
“His journey shows what can happen when talent, hard work and opportunity come together. We wanted the finale to celebrate how far he has come and hopefully inspire the children watching the show this summer.”
Ben said: “I remember being at Butlin’s on holiday, excited to do a workshop with Diversity. I’ve always loved dancing and they really inspired me so returning 12 years later as part of the group feels surreal.
“Seeing the photographs on the big screens before taking to the stage is an emotional moment. I hope any young wannabe dancers watching the show this summer are inspired by my story and start of their own journey.”
