HOW DO THEY WORK?
Activity Tokens are available to buy online via My Account or via the app and can be redeemed against paid-for activities at Butlin’s through the app.
4 weeks (28 days) before your break starts, the lead booker can start booking shows and redeeming Tokens for paid-for activities for your whole party, via the Butlin’s app. If you’ve booked an Early Access VIP pass, the lead booker will be able to book shows and paid-for activities 3 days earlier.
As this is a new way to book your paid-for activities at our Bognor Regis resort, we wanted to share some top tips beforehand, so check out our handy video to guide you through how to use your Tokens to book activities.
Please note: Up to 48 hours before the activity is due to start, you will be able to cancel the activity and your Token(s) will be credited for you to use again. However, you will not be able to cancel or amend the booking within 24 hours of the activity starting and you will not receive a Token credit. All activities are subject to availability. Purchasing Tokens does not guarantee you access to a specific game/activity. Please see our full terms and conditions for more information.
TOP TIPS:
- Make sure you've downloaded the latest Butlin's Bognor Regis app if you don’t have auto updates switched on. (And don’t forget to turn on your notifications, so we can keep you up to date with what’s happening on your break!)
- You can view how many Activity Tokens you have to redeem in the Wallet feature in the app.
- Use our handy Tokens calculator to work out how many Tokens you need for each activity. You can find that here.
- Good to know: the app description will display how many Tokens are needed. Some paid-for activities bookable per person, others per unit (e.g. cage, room, board). Be sure to read the app description which will display what this is for each activity.
- Tokens are the new method of payment for our existing paid-for activities as well as those in PLAYXPERIENCE, for example, Pottery Painting.
- If you don't have any Activity Tokens, it's still not too late to buy - in fact, the more you buy, the more you save, reducing the cost per activity!
- As the lead guest, you can continue to buy Activity Tokens via the app, right up until the last day of your Butlin's break.
- If any of your party wants to book an activity, they can do so by visiting one of our Booking Points on resort - Leisure Hub, PLAYXPERIENCE, Holiday Booking Shop, or Hotel receptions.

HOW DO TOKENS WORK?
- I've heard something about needing Tokens to buy activities, what are these?
Tokens are a new way to buy paid-for activities at our Bognor Regis resort from 7th October. Our new digital Tokens mean you can try lots of activities AND save money! For more information, visit https://www.butlins.com/discover-butlins/extras/tokens.
- I've bought Tokens, how do I book my activities?
4 weeks before your break starts, the lead booker can start booking shows and activities for their whole party from 10:30am via the Butlin's app. If you’ve booked an Early Access VIP pass, the lead booker can book shows and activities 3 days earlier. Keep an eye on your inbox for an email when the booking window opens. All Activities are subject to availability. Purchasing Tokens does not guarantee you access to a specific game/activity.
- Can I use Plan My Day to redeem Tokens?
Tokens can only be redeemed by using the Butlin’s app. They're easy to buy and easy to use – just check out our handy “how to guide”.
- What if I don’t have enough Tokens when booking my activity?
Don’t worry, you can always buy more Tokens to top up your account to redeem against our activities. Just head to My Account to buy more here.
- How do I know how many Tokens I can use?
You can use our handy Tokens calculator, and you’ll be able to see this within the description of the activity on the app.
- How do I know what I can use Tokens for?
All paid-for activities require Tokens, but you can take a look at our list of all our activities here and PLAYXPERIENCE activities here. You’ll also be able to view activities that require a Token on the app.
- How can I find out how many Tokens I have left?
You can simply head to the Wallet section of the app. You can also see how many Tokens you have left at the bottom of the screen when buying activities. We've created a handy video at the top of this page for more information on this.
- Can I buy more Tokens when I’m on resort?
All lead guests can continue to buy Tokens via the app when on resort. If any of your party wants to book an activity, then they can head to one of our Booking Points across the resort: Holiday Booking Shop, PLAYXPERIENCE, Leisure Hub, or Hotel receptions. Just look out for the “B”.
- What if I can't book or decide what i want to do at the point when the booking window opens?
You can book via the app from when the booking window opens right up until your break ends, or wait until you’re on resort and book at a booking point (subject to availability).
- Can I continue to buy Tokens during my break?
Yes, as a lead guest, you can buy as many Tokens as you like and you can continue to buy Tokens right up until the last day of your break.
BOOKING ACTIVITIES IN THE APP AND ON RESORT
- How do I know when activities are on/open?
Please see the app for opening times and timeslots for all of our activities.
- I usually book activities on resort - do I need to buy Tokens in advance, or can I still buy on resort?
Our team are still on hand to book your activities whilst on resort, and you will still continue to pay cash. Buying Tokens before or during your break via the app will give better savings.
- How much are the new activities in PLAYXPERIENCE? How many Tokens do I need?
Cost varies by activity. Head to https://www.butlins.com/discover-butlins/extras/tokens for a handy calculator for how many Tokens you need per activity, and the savings you can make.
- How do I add Tokens to my booking?
Simply head to My Account and you can add Tokens for your break here, or via the app.
- Can I get a refund if I change my mind after buying Tokens?
If your break is more than 70 days out, we can process a refund for you. You can do this via My Account if you’ve not yet paid your balance in full. (If you’ve paid your balance, please give us a call.) If your break is due to take place within 70 days, we're afraid refunds aren't possible for Tokens.
- You say I can spread my cost for the Tokens, when do I need to pay my balance?
Tokens will be added to your holiday payment plan, which needs to be paid 70 days before your break.
- I’m a day visitor, do I need to buy Tokens before arriving?
There’s no need to purchase Tokens if you’re visiting us for a day. You simply book using cash on resort as normal at one of our Booking Points.
- Do I now need to book Go Karts/ Bowling/Bungees before arriving on my break?
No. Our Bowling/Go Karts/Bungees remain as they are, and you book and pay for them using cash on resort.
- Can I change the timeslot or cancel a paid-for activity that i've already booked?
Yes, you can change or cancel a paid-for activity up to 48 hours before the timeslot you've booked.

- Will PLAYXPERIENCE be open for Big Weekenders?
It sure will! We’re excited to bring PLAYXPERIENCE to our Big Weekender breaks, as well as our family breaks.
- I'm seeing a cash price for PLAYXPERIENCE activities but I thought these were now being paid for with Tokens?
All paid-for activities (including PLAYXPERIENCE) are now paid for with Tokens. Our apps have recently had an update, so if you're seeing the cash price, it means you're using an older version of the app and will need to update it.
