David Carter joined Butlin’s as Chief Financial Officer in June 2023. David is highly experienced in the retail, consumer and leisure sectors, having worked for some of the UK’s most iconic brands.

Before Butlin's, David was at Virgin Active for seven years, where he most recently served as Managing Director of the UK business. Prior to Virgin Active, David was at Tesco for fifteen years where he held a variety of senior finance roles across the areas of property, retail, commercial, marketing, audit and central finance. David started his finance career at Marks & Spencer.

His favourite part about working at Butlin’s is the opportunity to provide our guests with an experience they love and memories that they and their families will cherish.

David is a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University where he was awarded a first-class degree in Economics, before going on to gain his CIMA qualification.
