Hemel Hempstead, 26 June 2025 – Butlin’s, the Home of Entertainment, is pleased to have appointed Belinda Schofield as Operations Director.
Belinda has the responsibility for overseeing the company’s Resort Operations, Operations Support, Productivity, Procurement and Health & Safety/Compliance.
This newly created role has been designed to better align Butlin’s support teams with its operational delivery on resort delivering an unforgettable guest experience for both its family breaks and its adult-only Big Weekenders.
Since joining Butlin’s in 2010, Belinda has served as Butlin’s Head of Retail and Central Operations Support Director. In January this year, she also served as Interim Resort Director at Butlin’s resort in Skegness and recently completed the handover with newly appointed Andrew Leivers.
The appointment comes midway through Butlin’s five-year growth strategy, backed by a £150m capital investment programme which is benefitting Butlin’s guest accommodation, the activities that it offers, the dining options available on resorts, and its key entertainment venues – broadening its proposition and optimising the experience for its existing and future guests.
Butlin’s three Resort Directors in Bognor Regis, Skegness and Minehead respectively, will report into Belinda, alongside senior leaders in Procurement, Compliance, and Productivity.
Also reporting into Belinda, Michaela Roberts will move into a new role of Head of Central Operations Support. This new role will lead the Central Ops department and work with the Ops Support Partners to drive continued improvement across the Butlin’s operation.
Commenting on the news, Belinda Schofield said: “I'm so excited to be starting this new role. Whilst I've been at Butlin's since 2010, over the last four months I've been Interim Resort Director in Skegness. In this role I’ve learnt so much more about our business and the importance of us all working together.
“I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to bringing our three resorts and Hemel Support team even closer together, so that we're able to give our guests and team the best possible Butlin's experience."
