BUTLIN'S SKYPARK SKEGNESS

A playful world of colour and light

Our Skegness resort is home to our original Butlin’s SKYPARK, and it’s been a huge hit with our guests ever since its launch in April 2023.

There are thrills and surprises at every turn, with six different zones celebrating positive play emotions and a range of equipment to explore. Here you’ll find wheelchair-accessible ramps and platforms, plus four epic climbing towers – the highest standing at a whopping 14 metres tall with panoramic sea views.

And the fun doesn’t stop just because the sun goes down. Children can play ‘til late thanks to the light-up towers and tube slides. There’s even a SKYPARK café to keep the grown-ups happy, too.

SKYPARK

Fun for every child

SKYPARK was designed with inclusivity in mind. Sensory surprises and wheelchair-accessible equipment enable children of all abilities to play together. Accessed via a ramp, a one-metre mound at the base of the Tower of Excitement places disabled children in the heart of the action, while a first-floor platform in the Tower of Surprise gives wheelchair users the chance to experience height and be shoulder to shoulder with other kids. There’s also a wheelchair-accessible trampoline and roundabout, sit-up swings for support and sociability, and wheelchair-friendly walkways, ensuring no child is left on the sidelines.

DIFFERENT ZONES CELEBRATING POSITIVE PLAY EMOTIONS

Each zone – Joy, Happiness, Excitement, Surprise, Curiosity and Calm – has their own unique features. You’ll find epic climbing towers, thrilling tunnel slides, an inclusive seesaw, and the UK’s longest swing line.

CONNECTION

Connecting it all together, children can follow the Heart Line – a looping red pathway which pulses with light – to six different zones that celebrate positive play emotions. Along the way, there’ll be a challenging balancing course and a series of swings.

SURPRISE

The Tower of Surprise ensures that no child is left out of the fun. At just over 8-metres tall, it acts an introduction to climbing and height, and gives wheelchair users a unique perspective from an accessible platform. There are hidden sensory surprises to discover, too.

EXCITEMENT

In the heart of the action stands the Tower of Excitement at a whopping the 14-metres high. As young explorers scramble to the top, they’ll be rewarded with panoramic sea views. Even more impressive is a 10-metre tube slide that lights up when children ride down it.

HAPPINESS

The Tower of Happiness is packed with adventure! Featuring a labyrinth of geometric climbing nets, this 10-metre tower is the playground’s most challenging area to conquer. There’s also a rope tunnel that crosses over to the tallest tower, a 7-metre slide and a variety of balancing plates.

JOY

Designed for children under five, this bright yellow zone is sure to put a smile on your little one’s face. You’ll find toddler swing seats, trampolines, and an interactive memory-based game, as well as a small, mirrored tower with three slides and climbing elements.

CALM

After all that running, climbing, swinging and jumping, the purple zone offers gentle play experiences for when energy levels are low. The sensory tower features light-up posts, calming sounds and music, while the large wheelchair-accessible roundabout builds on the sensory aspect of this area.

CURIOUS

An exciting space where mum and dad can join in the fun! Kids (and big kids) of all ages will love the arch that features interactive movement-based games.
