Now A1 are back, as they head to Butlin’s resorts across the UK for our Back To The 2000s weekenders! Taking to the stage with their greatest hits, this is your chance to see A1 live.
A1's BIGGEST HITS
A1 - made up of Ben Adams, Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen, and Mark Read - burst onto the scene back in 1999 with their first album Here We Come, earning not just one but four UK Top Ten singles. A1 quickly secured their place as one of the UK’s most exciting new groups and followed up their stellar debut with their second album The A List, topping the charts twice more with singles ‘Take On Me’ and ‘Same Old Brand New You’.
By 2001, A1 had a worldwide fanbase and were performing sold-out shows in the UK and beyond, even embarking on a huge arena tour across Asia. Having experienced a rapid rise to global fame, they announced A1: Access All Areas, a groundbreaking early social media network designed to connect A1 fans from across the world, allowing them to discuss their love of the band and their music.
By 2002, A1 were experimenting with a brand new direction, producing exciting new tracks with an edgier pop-rock sound. Their third album Make It Good hit the charts in nine different countries, cementing A1 as one of the top boy bands of the early 2000s. With millions of record sales and an already-legendary career to their name, A1 announced in 2002 that they’d be calling it quits, shocking their fans.
Fortunately, this wasn’t the end for A1! They made their long-awaited return in 2011 with a hotly-anticipated comeback gig at London’s iconic 02 Academy Islington, before embarking on another triumphant tour of Asia. In 2014, they joined the cast of The Big Reunion, with fellow Butlin’s Big Weekender stars Blue, 911 and Five.
In the years since, A1 have continued to release new music and perform live to fans, releasing their most recent single ‘Call Me When You Land’ in September 2023.
