Five is back as a trio with original members Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville, and Scott Robinson! Formed in 1997, Five was the epitome of a 90s pop boy band and they quickly grooved their way into the hearts of millions.
Combining charm, dance moves and catchy music, it’s no wonder Five has sold more than 20 million records worldwide!
Five’s biggest hits include the iconic ‘Keep on Movin’, which certainly made a big move globally. This hit featured in the top 10 charts in several countries, including Hungary, where it was number one.

FIVE'S TOP HITS
Five had a variety of top hits, a true testament to their infectious energy as a boy group. Some of these notable hits include three UK number 1s ‘Keep On Movin'’, ‘Let's Dance’ and the Queen collaboration ‘We Will Rock You’. ‘Keep On Movin’’ was such a big hit, that it received a double-platinum certification!
Other notable hits also include ‘When the Lights Go Out’, ‘Everybody Get Up' and ‘Inspector Gadget,’.
It’s no wonder Five were often referred to as ‘The Fab Five’ when they produced hit after hit, whilst also performing at a variety of high-status venues such as football stadiums and arenas.
The band managed to create a hip-hop pop hybrid which they performed to global audiences, making their success in the 90s, and beyond, insurmountable.
Five weren’t just known for their top hits either. The band were equally known and loved for their ability to capture the audience. FIVE'S HISTORY
Five’s history all started in the paper! The Spice Girls creators Bob and Chris Herbert had a vision for Five - a 90s boy band with ‘attitude and edge.’
The creators put an advert into the newspaper outlining exactly this, and 3,000 applications later, Bob and Chris Herbert chose Neville, Abz Love, Conlon, Jason ‘J’ Brown and Robinson. The rest is history; Five became global superstars.
Five were chosen from the vast application due to their likeable attitude, their talented vocals and rhythm. All these qualities made Five a cultural milestone in the 90s. They were even credited with the creation of a new era of bands as they helped to make hip-hop more mainstream.
Initially, Five was signed to RCA Records, where they released their debut single ‘Slam Dunk (Da Funk)’ in 1998. This hit reached number 3 in the UK charts, making their debut a top 10 single!
After their debut, Five achieved further success, achieving an outstanding 18 consecutive top 10 UK singles between 1998 and 2001.
Within this time, Five released two studio albums including ‘Five’ (1998) and ‘Invincible’ (2000). One year after the release of ‘Invincible’, In 2001, Five released the single ‘Let’s Dance’ which became a number 1 single in the UK.
Later in 2001, Five split up due to musical differences. After this, in 2006, Five had a brief regroup - however, 2012 was the year of their highly anticipated reunion.
Their comeback tour at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2013 reignited the fanbase for Five and since then Five have toured through the UK and Europe. From the stage to clubs, concert halls, arenas and festivals, Five are just as loved now, as they were in the 90s.

- Did you know that when Five played a comeback tour at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2013, it was part of the ITV2 documentary, The Big Reunion?
- Their achievements don’t just stop at being TV stars either. Did you also know that Five opened the Brits in March 2000 with Queen? They performed the band’s hit ‘We Will Rock You’. Later that night, Five also won a BRIT award for the ‘Best Pop Act’. After this performance, their Queen cover became a number 1 hit in the UK in July 2000.
