Its influence inspired a wave of British talent, who added their own unique styles to the genre, branching Reggae into exciting new directions. As the producer behind Janet Kay’s timeless classic “Silly Games”, Dennis Bovell helped pioneer Lovers Rock and has shaped the UK music scene for over 40 years. From forming Matumbi to working with Linton Kwesi Johnson, Steel Pulse and Marvin Gaye, Bovell’s influence spans generations. A true multi-instrumentalist and producer, his shows deliver Lovers Rock and dub with unmatched energy and style.
