Update: 16th December, 6pm: Bognor Regis and Minehead resort closure for the remainder of 2020
Due to the number of areas moving into tier 3 following the latest government announcements, it is with great sadness that we will be closing our Bognor Regis and Minehead resorts from Friday 18th December, for the remainder of 2020.We had hoped to remain open to provide our great Butlin’s festive breaks - but unfortunately, the increased number of areas under tier 3 restrictions has meant that it is sensible for us to close. More and more of our guests are now unable to stay due to travel restrictions, and for those who could attend, we could not guarantee the amazing experience that our guests have come to enjoy and would expect from us.
We understand that this will be very disappointing for you and your family, particularly during this time of year. We were very much looking forward to welcoming you to our resorts, but our priority is to keep you, our guest, and our team safe and healthy.
We'll be contacting guests affected in arrival order so please don't worry if we're delayed or your break is coming up very soon - we will get to everyone and your options will be protected.
Update: 14th December, 6.30pm: Latest government tier restrictions
Following today’s announcement from the government on London and selected areas of Essex and Hertfordshire moving into tier 3 from Wednesday, 16th December, we have the following update for our guests:For guests travelling on Friday 18th December:
If you're coming from one of the affected areas announced today and are due to travel on Friday, please give us a call on 0330 100 6649 and we can move/process a refund for you.
For guests travelling on Wednesday 23rd December:
If you're coming from one of the affected areas announced today and are due to visit us on Wednesday 23rd December, please don’t call us at this time as we prioritise guests due this Friday. We’ll send you an email, SMS or letter over the coming days to discuss your options with you.
Please note that this doesn’t affect anybody currently on resort with us this week (Monday 14th – Friday 18th December).
We know that these continue to be uncertain times and we appreciate your patience as we work through the latest government guidance.
Update: 26th November, 3pm: Latest government tier restrictions
Following the latest announcement from the Government with regards to the tiered system, we have the following updates for each of our three resorts:
It is with great sadness that due to Skegness falling into tier 3 and in line with the government guidance around the closure of hospitality venues, our resort will remain closed for all festive and New Year breaks up until the end of December.
If your break has been affected, you will receive an email, SMS or letter from us today asking you to fill in an online form to advise us of your preference, including a full refund. Please note, we will respond to everyone and we ask you to please not call at this time.
Bognor Regis & Minehead: Tier 2
We’re happy to let you know our Bognor Regis and Minehead resorts will open from the 11th December. Our entertainment, pool and activities will run as planned and we can’t wait to welcome you for some festive fun! Due to new restrictions in place around our bars, there will be some changes to your break which you can find out more about here. We’ll also drop you an email when Plan My Day is open for your break.
If you're currently in a tier 3 area or fire-break lockdown, as per the government guidance, it is advised that you do not travel outside of your local area - therefore we ask that you do not travel to our resorts.
We know many of you have been waiting patiently for an update with regards to your break and we thank you again for your understanding.
Please visit the gov.uk website for the latest information on the tier restrictions.
Update: 24th November, 10am: Extended resort closure
Following the latest update from the government yesterday, we’re now working through the plans and what this means for Butlin’s. As we await further clarification from the government with regards to the tiered system, and due to the preparation needed to reopen our doors in just over a week, we’ve sadly made the decision to extend our closure period of all three resorts until Thursday 10th December. We understand how disappointing this will be for you and your family, especially as this is the start of the festive season, however we wanted to give you as much notice as possible so that you can make alternative plans. We still have limited availability on our breaks starting from the 11th December that we’d love to welcome you back to and our team are here.
We'll email all lead guests impacted with your options, which will include a full refund or the chance to move your break to another time.

Update 19 November 2020, 5pm: Cancellation of the Brass Band Festival
We recently wrote to guests attending the Butlin's Mineworkers Open National Brass Band Festival regarding increased safety measures. It is now with a heavy heart that after looking at alternative ways to run the weekend under current guidelines, and with the added restrictions to allow for band rehearsals to take place, sadly it’s not possible to go ahead. Therefore, we’ve made the decision to cancel this break in 2021.
If your break has been affected, you will receive an email, SMS or letter from us asking you to fill in a form. Please note, we will respond to everyone.
Update 31 October 2020, 7.30pm: Temporary closure of all resorts

If you're due to arrive with us on 2 November, please do not travel to our resorts. We know this will be disappointing and we’re here to make the process as easy as possible for you.
We'll email all lead guests impacted on Monday (2 November) with your options, which will include a full refund or the chance to move your break to another time.
If you’re currently on holiday with us, your break has not changed and you can continue your stay with us over the weekend.
Our phone lines and social media channels are extremely busy so we do ask you not to contact us at this time, and to wait for us to get in touch with you. We do very much appreciate your patience as we work through these latest cancellations. The safety of our guests and team will always be our main priority. We look forward to welcoming you all again very soon.

Update 15 October 2020, 9.30am: Latest government Three Tier restrictions
We can confirm that our resorts are still currently open and our breaks are taking place as planned. All of our resorts are currently in a tier 1 area and therefore follow the rule of 6, and the 10pm curfew. We'll continue to update this page and our social channels should this information change. If you're currently in a tier 1 area, you're still able to join us on your break but we ask that you follow the guidance from your local authority and adhere to the rule of 6 and the 10pm curfew.
If you're currently in a tier 2 area, you're still able to join us on your break but we ask that you follow the guidance from your local authority and adhere to the rule of 6 outside only, the 10pm curfew, and no mixing of households inside.
If you're currently in a tier 3 area or fire-break lockdown, as per the government guidance, it is advised that you do not travel outside of your local area - therefore we ask that you do not travel to our resorts. Please call us on 0330 100 6649 to discuss your booking options.

You can use the BBC postcode checking tool to find out how the pandemic has affected your area.
Update 8 October 2020, 9.30am: Christmas Party and New Year's Eve breaks
Due to social distancing measures and the current curfew of 10pm, our Christmas Party and New Year’s Eve breaks have now become more family focused, where all the entertainment and activities are designed exclusively for families with children. We want to make sure you have the best experience when you come to stay, so with that in mind, we will be contacting adult-only bookings to offer you some alternative options.
Unfortunately due to current government guidelines and the party atmosphere of these breaks, for the safety of all guests we will also no longer be accepting bookings of over six people (unless they are members of the same household or they are part of a household support bubble) and will be asking large group bookings to rearrange their breaks too.
We know there's nothing more disappointing than cancelled plans so we want to make it as easy as possible for you to make alternative arrangements and have something to look forward to in 2021. If your break has been affected, you will receive an email or letter from us asking you to fill in a form. We will respond to everyone and we ask you not to call at this time.
