BUTLINS HOLIDAY PROTECTION

We know what's it's like to be looking forward to something and how disappointing it is if those plans have to be cancelled. Butlin's Holiday Protection covers you against cancellation so you can book your break with peace of mind and reassurance, knowing you’re protected should you need to cancel.

 

Holiday Protection costs £26.95 for 2024 weekenders.

You can receive a full refund if you cancel your break up to two days in advance for the following reasons:

  • Illness (covered by a doctor's certificate)

  • Death

  • Redundancy

  • Jury service

If you cancel within two days of your break or for any other reason than those mentioned above, you'll receive a reduced refund amount and charges may apply. Please see below for specifics:

 

FOR 2024 BREAKS

You have our Holiday Protection and you're cancelling due to illness, death, redundancy or jury service:

 

Two days (48 hours) or more Full refund minus a cancellation charge of £65 per accommodation unit and cost of Butlin's Holiday protection

Two days (47 hours, 59 minutes) or less 30% refund of your total holiday cost and cost of Butlin's Holiday protection

 

You have our Holiday Protection and you're cancelling for any other reason:

 

70 days or more Full refund minus a cancellation charge per accommodation unit (detailed above) and cost of Butlin's Holiday Protection

69-43 days 70% refund minus a cancellation charge per accommodation unit (detailed above) and cost of Butlin's Holiday Protection

42 - 29 days 50% refund minus a cancellation charge per accommodation unit (detailed above) and cost of Butlin's Holiday Protection

28 - 8 days 10% refund minus a cancellation charge per accommodation unit (detailed above) and cost of Butlin's Holiday Protection

7 days or less No refund

 

If you've not taken out Butlin's Holiday Protection and you cancel your break, we will not issue a refund and you will need to claim back through your own holiday insurance provider.

However, we'll always aim to provide you with as many options as we can; for example, we may be able to change the date of your break for an admin fee as an alternative to cancelling. Please call our team to discuss possible options.

 

How to make a claim

 

To make a claim you'll need to call our Customer Care team on 0330 100 6659 at least 48 hours before the start date of your break, then send in written proof, for example a court notification for jury service or a doctor's certificate, via recorded delivery of your reason for cancelling. We'll then write to you within 48 hours of receiving the documentation to let you know whether or not we can provide a refund. There will be a per accommodation unit cancellation charge as detailed above.

If you're cancelling for another reason, you'll need to call our Customer Care team to discuss your options.
