We were very excited to have you back at Butlins Minehead. Do the Butlins guests make a good audience?

Butlins is the best, I’ve always had really good shows here in the past – it’s always so much fun. The last time I played here, I suddenly became ill and had to be rushed to hospital, so I’m glad I’m feeling on top form tonight!

Are you enjoying life on the road on your new tour?

Being on tour is the best, it’s a bit of a boy’s holiday.

What do you love most about performing live?

Out of all my jobs, performing live is my most favourite. I just love being surrounded by the crowd.

How did you get into music? What advice would you give to kids who want to do the same thing?

I got into the industry through an Australian show called New Faces, which, I guess, is like The X Factor. But I loved music from a really young age and worked hard at it. If it’s what you want then you have to just keep going until you get it.

Who’s your musical hero?

Michael Jackson – he was the ultimate.

What are the three essential items that you pack when you go away on a holiday?

My kids, suncream and good coffee.

How do you relax?

Eat chocolate! And I also love to watch The Discovery Channel. I know I sound like a geek, but I love it. That and – of course – spending time with the munchkins!
