What's new at Butlin's in 2021

When we say there’s no off switch, we mean it! While our doors have been closed, we’ve been busy making improvements to all three of our resorts to bring you some next-level newness for 2021.

As well as upgrading a number of our existing facilities, we’ve built brand new venues to create more space and keep the fun rolling all year round, come rain or shine. Plus, we’ve got a fresh new line-up of entertainment, including exclusive live shows and exciting activities.

New Shows

Butlin’s and entertainment go hand in hand, so we’ve pulled out all the stops to make sure your break is filled with exclusive live performances you won’t see anywhere else. Get ready to rumba with Strictly Latino, join Peppa Pig for a singalong or watch the likes of Fleur East and Max & Harvey with our Reality All-Stars show. For stunts that’ll have you on the edge of your seat, The Extreme Mountain Bike Show is a must-see.

Get to see our brand new live Extreme Mountain Bike stage show from the UK & Europe's number one mountain bike, trails/BMX demonstration team, led by the multiple British and European mountain bike trials champion, Danny Butler. You won't be short of wows at this family must-see show!

Strictly Latino

Strictly Latino is a new show that fuses popular Latin flavoured artists and songs with the passion of dance. We will take you on a trip round the dancefloor as we showcase fantastic sounds and energetic dance.

New Venues

Studio 36: new entertainment venue - all resorts

What better way to get excited about coming to Butlin's this year than with the news that we're building huge all-weather entertainment venues for you to enjoy more shows and activities than ever before on your Butlin's break!

The new venues will allow us to entertain even more guests, with 860 seats under COVID socially distanced guidelines. If you managed to visit us in summer 2020, then you’ll have experienced how truly epic our outdoor stages were; popping up in record time and in reaction to the introduction of social distancing, they allowed us to continue to do what we do best, but with the Great British weather not always on our side, they weren’t always the comfiest of environments for you to enjoy shows.

So we've developed what was great about those stages and invested in weather-proof venues that will allow us to keep the entertainment going all year round; putting on more shows during each break, come rain or shine, and in addition to our Centre Stages, Reds and the Skyline Stage venues, of course! Reds Extension - Minehead

The well-being and safety of our guests has always been, and always will be, our biggest priority, so we've been working hard to extend our Reds entertainment venue in Minehead to give everyone that extra bit of space for guests to enjoy our shows.

As part of the extension, the stage will be relocated and we've invested in new lighting rigs and audio equipment so that the production will be better than ever. With the new extension, we'll be able to seat 697 guests socially distanced... that's just under 300 more people than before!

A new arcade - Skegness

There'll be smiles all round in Skegness as the old Ingoldmells building is being removed and in its place we're developing a brand new arcade. Feeling competitive? There'll be lots of new games and experiences to take part in, adding to those magic family moments.

The Fairground

We know how much you love our fairgrounds and spending your day enjoying those "just one more go!" moments, and we recognised that our Skegness fairground needed a little bit of TLC. To make it brighter and a nicer experience for you and your family, we've started making small changes to the space, including new planting and landscaping. Keep an eye out for the changes when you're next on resort, and let us know if you spot them!

Re-designed Activity Centres - all resorts

It wouldn't be a Butlin's break without those non-stop action-packed days. To make sure you get your activity fix during your stay in a safe, socially distanced way, we've re-purposed some of our empty conference spaces, transforming them into brilliant new activity centres!

At Bognor Regis and Skegness the conference centres have been renovated and re-purposed as family activity spaces, including an activity studio. They'll host a wide range of activities including our brand new Slimy Science and Sand Art activities, archery and pumpkin carving during October half term. At Minehead, the Crazy Horse building has been turned into a Pottery and Arts & Crafts studio where even more guests will be able to get stuck into our new activities. Exciting stuff, right?

New Dining

After all that entertainment, you’ll no doubt have worked up an appetite. Luckily, we’ve got loads of dining options to choose from. We know you love The Diner’s American-style favourites and the Firehouse Grill’s flamecooked dishes, so we’re bringing both restaurants to all resorts. Hungry for more?
