The Great Britain Irish Dancing Championships

We sincerely hope you will join us for three fabulous days of Irish dancing and fun. Having made the move to this exciting new venue Butlins Bognor Regis in 2008. You may wonder why we made the move to Butlins and its because the council wanted a new venue that fulfilled certain criteria:
- The venue had to be an excellent backdrop for top quality Irish dancing
- As importantly to embody the old 'Spirit of the GBs', which has had a unique
atmosphere for so many years
- Everybody wanted a return to the days when families could get together and
socialise with their friends from around the globe
- Good quality accommodation and food and to provide all that is necessary to
host a top-class dancing event: from providing a framework for the dancing
through to top class technical support and the team at Butlins has a proven
record for being an outstanding and professional Resort for big events.
We have received lots of positive feedback and we will be building further on this in 2011.
The dancing will be staged in three areas: Centre Stage, Reds, and the Rendezvous Conference Centre. All competitions will be held on proper stages covered with Harlequin dance flooring. A provisional timetable will be released at the earliest opportunity. Just keep checking our Great Britain Championships website for the latest news.
The Butlins Resort in Bognor Regis has a vast array of entertainment and facilities included in the package here's a taster of what's on offer this year:

- Funfair for all ages, your favourite TV characters Bob the Builder, Barney,
Angelina Ballerina & more
- Superb shows such as the never-seen-anything-like-it Looney Tunes Live and
the extremely popular Brainiac Live!
- The Resort is by the sea on the the English south coast and is within easy
reach of London. It's also surrounded by the rolling South Downs beautiful
countryside filled with a choice of wildlife parks, quaint villages, castles and
lots of beaches close by!
- Best of all everyone gets to use all of the Butlins facilities, so your non-dancers
will be just as happy!
How to book?
Non-teachers MUST quote Great Britain Irish Dance Championships 862. If any non-teachers book in the first week their bookings will be cancelled and deposits returned.

Please note as there is no 'cap' on numbers of GBs guests, to gain entry to the Irish Dancing Events you have to book via this special page or through the dedicated GBs line, there will be no facility to buy a regular Butlins package and then buy a wristband.
