Whether you are a seasoned walker or someone who prefers to stroll, Exmoor National Park is an ideally picturesque area to cover on foot. With over 1000km of footpaths and bridleways, taking you through woodlands, open heather covered moorland and by tumbling rivers, the variety is unique.

Many visitors to Butlins enjoy a walk and the network of narrow roads, bridleways and footpaths that cross the moor are perfect. These have been signposted by the National Park Authority (NPA) where they join roads and many are signposted and waymarked with coloured squares or arrows to help you find your way around.

 

A novice trek on the Exmoor hills through Horner woods. All equipment and transport provided. Trips are 2 hours long (1 hour on horse back). £25 per adult and £22 per child. Age restriction of 5 years and over. Maximum weight limit 18 stone.

We do trips of 3 hours which are £38 per adult and £30 per child or 2 and a half hour trips for £30 per adult and £25 per child. This is a lovely trip through Exmoor - a great chance to go off-road, see the local wildlife and experience breathtaking views. Exmoor national park covers 265 square miles, a brilliant way to explore it!

This trip departs from Watchet harbour. Each trip is weather and tide time dependant. All equipment is provided. Transport is not provided but directions can be provided. £25 per person for a 4 hour trip.

Brand new for 2011, Tropiquaria is a local animal and adventure park with masses of wildlife from snakes and spiders to alligators and parrots. As well as exciting animals there's a huge pirate ship and adventure playground to keep the kids entertained. Tropiquaria is open everyday and costs £24 per adult, £21 per child, and £16.50 for concessions.

K2 is the largest high ropes course in Europe. Prices start from £5 depending on whether you want to do part or the full course. There is an age restriction of 8 years and above

We've teamed up with West Somerset Railway to offer guests all-day unlimited use rover passes, meaning you can get out and explore the local area without spending a fortune. Passes cost £15.60 per adult, £7.80 per child, £14.20 for OAPs, or £43 for a family.
