What is Blueskies?
BlueSkies is a brand new Holiday Club introduced by Butlins. It offers you 30 years of fabulous holidays at an affordable price, representing a saving of around 50% on normal holiday prices.
Is it a timeshare?
Typically timeshare is about purchasing a block of time where the holiday date and the length of stay is the same year after year. The shortest stay is often 1 week and you have no choice over the size and type of accommodation you use.
BlueSkies is a Holiday Club, similar to Clubs operated by Disney and Marriott that have grown rapidly over the last decade to around 400,000 members worldwide, including many in the UK.
BlueSkies gives you the flexibility and freedom to holiday the way you want, year after year for 30 years. It's all up to you. You can take one holiday a year or many. You can stay for as little as 3 nights or enjoy weeks at your dream destination.
What are the apartments like?
BlueSkies offers luxurious, large apartments with between 1 and 3 bedrooms, a fully-fitted designer kitchen, underfloor heating and an open-plan dining and living room. Each apartment also has its own spacious balcony with stunning sea views. The apartments are situated on the Butlins Minehead Resort right on the Somerset coast, where Exmoor meets the sea.
Will BlueSkies Members be able to use Butlins facilities or will this be an additional cost?
BlueSkies Members will have access to the full range of Butlins facilities in the same way as a normal holidaymaker would, with no additional fee attached. In fact, as a BlueSkies Member, you will also receive exclusive access to Splash Waterworld and discounts at selected restaurants, shops and activities.
How does BlueSkies work?
The way BlueSkies Membership works is simple. As a Member, you receive an annual allotment of BlueSkies Points which you use to reserve accommodation for each holiday break you take. You receive the same allotment of BlueSkies Points each year, how you use them is entirely up to you.
The number of BlueSkies Points used for each break is determined by where, when and how long you choose to holiday. You use more BlueSkies Points during Bank Holidays and peak season and less during less busy times of year. You use more BlueSkies Points for larger, 3–bedroom apartments and less for 1-bedroom apartments. And obviously you use more BlueSkies Points the longer you holiday.
BlueSkies flexibility doesn’t stop there. We know our customers love to keep coming back, but we also know they love to try other places. You can use your BlueSkies Points for holidays at the Butlins Minehead Resort, but you can also use them to reserve accommodation at over 4000 destinations around the world.
Are there additional costs?
BlueSkies Members will share the cost of maintaining the accommodation that they own. The costs will vary depending on how many Points are owned. Unlike second home owners, Members will not have to pay for year round maintenance, just the costs attributable to the time they use.
Do I have to take a holiday at BlueSkies every year?
To increase the flexibility you can save Points from one year to the next enabling you to take a year off or book something extra special. You will even be able to use your Points to book the apartments when the Resort is closed for a quiet week away and to enjoy the surrounding area.

Will I be able to guarantee that I will get a holiday over the weeks I want?
You’ll be able to book your holiday from 12 months out, and whilst we can’t absolutely guarantee the exact date and type of accommodation will be available – if a particular date is important, you can book early to maximise the chance of securing your ideal date choice.
Will I have to holiday in my apartment at the same time every year?
BlueSkies isn’t like traditional timeshare where you buy a fixed period of time in an apartment. You’ll be able to use your holiday home at different times of the year, giving you the flexibility to go on holiday at a time that suits you.
How much will it cost?
An apartment at BlueSkies costs from under £6,000 for 30 years of holidays. BlueSkies will come with its own optional finance package with payments from as low as £80 per month.
Can you ever sell your BlueSkies apartment?
Yes, there will be the opportunity to pass on your BlueSkies apartment or to sell it.
