Shepherds Pie

Lamb Mince
Onion
Gravy granules
Vegetable mix
Instant mashed potato
Tomato puree
Salt and pepper

  1. Dry fry the mince until browned
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook through
  3. Add the vegetable mix and cook on top of the oven for five minutes
  4. Make up half pint of gravy using the granules and add to the mix.  Don't make it too runny as this will result in the pie separating when baked
  5. Add a teaspoon of tomato puree and season
  6. Make up the mashed potato as instructed
  7. Place all the mix into a pyrex dish
  8. Spoon over the mashed potato until completely covering the mixture.
  9. Season the pie and bake for 25 minutes at 180 C 

For a variation of topping add grated cheese or mustard to the mashed potato.
