Butlins has teamed up with magic supremo Stephen Mulhern to launch a fantastic new magic experience at its Bognor Regis Resort. The bespoke stand and shop has been specially designed and is exclusive to the UK’s favourite holiday destination.
Situated within the Skyline Pavilion, the weatherproof marquee at the heart of the beachside Resort, the experience is manned daily by specially recruited magicians who will be performing short shows to Butlins’ guests throughout the day. After being wowed and amazed during the performances, guests can purchase the tricks shown and recreate the experience back at home. As well as great show magicians demonstrating live magic, the experience also includes interacting – via TV – with Stephen to entertain the guests further.
Stephen has a close affinity with the much loved British brand having previously been a Redcoat and has been involved with the magic experience from inception through to development and launch.
Commenting on the new feature, Stephen said, “I am extremely proud and delighted to be working with Butlins bringing the wonders of magic to its guests. I really believe that working as a Redcoat was a fantastic training ground for me and has helped me become the accomplished magician and presenter I am today. It’s great to be back!”

Tricks available to purchase at great value prices are as follows:
• A Supernatural Coin Trick, £9.99 - Five Coins appear, transfer, penetrate and vanish.
• 7 Marvin’s Mini Magic Tricks, £4.99 - A fun selection of amazing yet easy to perform mini magic tricks. This set of seven includes, Amazing Cup and Ball, Impossible Unlinking Ring, Mysterious Cat Clip and more.
• Magic Long and Short Cards, £4.99 - Appears to contain 50 different cards but as the magician riffles the deck, different cards appear.
• Esp Canister, £3.99 - A dice is secretly sealed into a small canister. This is placed into a slightly larger one, which is also sealed. Incredibly the performer will always know the number at the top of the dice.
• Mystery Draw Box, £ 3.99 - By simply opening and closing the drawer of this box you can make things appear and disappear.
The stand has been introduced initially at the Bognor Regis Resort but is anticipated to be rolled out to the other two Resorts – Minehead in Somerset and Skegness in Lincolnshire – later on in the year.
