The Postcards! app will be available on iPhone, iPad, Android and Facebook from 22 August 2011. Free to download, it will allow users to send an image and personalised message to up to 10 people at a time.

The app is designed so that users can fully customise their postcard. Images can be a new snap, one from the user’s library or they can pick from a selection of Butlins images, including some vintage shots. Messages to go with the pics can be personalised.

Users can then choose to send the postcard by email or post directly onto their Facebook Wall.

The app was created by London-based branding and design agency Grain Creative. Madelyn Postman, Creative Director Brand & Digital, says "This was a great opportunity for us to design and develop a multi-platform app using the Butlins brand language, which appeals to holiday-makers worldwide."

Butlins selected Grain by using blur Group's Creative Services Exchange - widely thought of as the eBay of marketing - to find the best creative for the project.

Butlins also has a helpful app for guests to use when they are on resort to make the very most of their stay. The colourful app allows guests to find out about restaurants, entertainment and activities happening during their holiday. It also gives offers maps, sample menus and provides using phone numbers.

Both apps are available to download now on the iPhone, iPad, Android and Facebook.
